By installing or using the Nullgen AI Blocker browser extension, the Safari Mac app, or the iOS app, or by using nullgen.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the apps, the extension, or the site.

Nullgen AI Blocker is a suite: a browser extension that attempts to detect AI prompt fields on websites and prevent text input into those fields, and an iOS app that blocks known AI destinations across browsers and apps on the phone through a VPN configuration that operates only on the device. Detection in the extension runs on your device (the extension may download detection updates from our content delivery network) and is probabilistic: it may miss some prompts (false negatives) or block fields that are not AI prompts (false positives). Destination blocking on iOS depends on a list of known AI destinations that we update over time; it may miss new or renamed destinations or block too much. AI features embedded in services that share ordinary hosts are not separately blocked, because blocking them would block the whole service. Examples include Gemini inside Google Search and the Google app, Copilot inside Microsoft Office, Bing, and Edge, and Meta AI inside Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook. The dedicated websites and standalone apps of those assistants are on the list; the assistant built into the larger product is not, and we do not represent that it will be. The marketing website describes the product and may offer downloads, newsletter signup, and the purchase and management of paid plans. Paid Family may also be purchased in the App Store (Mac and iOS). If you subscribe to the newsletter or create a Pro account, you may receive product marketing email (such as product updates and trial reminders). Those messages share one unsubscribe: opting out stops all of that marketing. Transactional account email — including sign-in codes, billing and access notices, and invites — is separate.

The free extension is designed to stay on. It does not provide a global off switch or a per-site allowlist. If a field is blocked by mistake, use the in-product report controls to tell us. On an unmanaged personal device, uninstalling the extension is the way to stop protection on that browser profile. On a device enrolled in a managed deployment, protection cannot be disabled by the end user and is governed by the organization’s administrator. The iOS app has no in-app off switch. Blocking stays on for every install, whether or not the phone is linked to a Pro account or covered by a Family subscription. Linking Pro adds the policies your administrator or parent assigns, and if a Pro plan lapses the app keeps blocking known AI destinations. On a personal phone you can remove the VPN configuration in iOS Settings or delete the app to stop protection. On a phone managed by a parent or an organization, doing so may breach their rules; the app cannot prevent it, which is an operating-system limit rather than a feature.

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension, the Safari Mac app, and the iOS app for their intended purpose. Except to the extent expressly allowed by applicable open-source licenses for third-party components we ship, or by law, you may not: decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the extension or the iOS app; extract, copy, or reuse our on-device detection software or related files; redistribute or resell the product; or circumvent its technical protections, including bypassing, disabling, or manipulating administrator-managed policies or device enrollment. Good-faith security research carried out under our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (https://nullgen.ai/trust/vulnerability-disclosure) does not violate this section.

The Safari Mac app and the iOS app are distributed through Apple’s App Store. These Terms are between you and Nullgen, Inc., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the apps or their content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for them. To the extent any warranty applies to an app and the app fails to conform to it, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid for that app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the apps. Nullgen, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim relating to the apps — including product liability, any failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection claims — and for the investigation, defense, and settlement of any claim that an app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the apps, such as your wireless carrier’s terms. Your license to the apps is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the apps and may enforce them against you.

You agree not to misuse the extension, the iOS app, or website, including by attempting to disrupt our services, abuse support or reporting channels, or use the product to violate the law or the rights of others. If you have a paid account, keep your credentials confidential. Administrator credentials for centralized policy management are personal to the administrator they were issued to: they may not be shared among multiple distinct users, and one organization’s account may not be used to manage devices, policies, or users that belong to another organization. Each administrator must use their own login, and each organization must hold its own subscription. You also agree not to tamper with device enrollment or interfere with the blocking, approval, or reporting features on a device enrolled by an organization you do not administer.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the dashboard and paid services immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or engage in activity that threatens the security, integrity, or availability of our services, other than good-faith research under our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy. You may delete your Pro account from Dashboard → Settings, or from the Nullgen Mac app or iOS app when you are signed in with Apple and have not completed a Family purchase. If you are the account owner, deletion ends dashboard access for that organization when deletion is confirmed. Invited members who delete their account leave the organization. This is in addition to Nullgen’s right to suspend for violations.

Our Privacy Policy at https://nullgen.ai/privacy explains what we do and do not collect. In particular, we do not collect the text of AI prompts for blocking. The iOS app downloads a list of known AI destinations so blocking stays current; that download does not include which sites you visited, and the app does not route your traffic through Nullgen. By using the extension, the Safari Mac app, the iOS app, or website, you also acknowledge the limited technical data described there, including downloading detection updates from our content delivery network, crash and error reporting to Sentry, user-initiated issue reports, and Google Analytics usage, conversion measurement, and related advertising features on the website after the consent or opt-out rules in that policy. The extension, the Safari Mac app, and the iOS app do not use Google Analytics.

Paid plans — such as the Family plan, the Education plan, and the Enterprise plan — are subscriptions, offered at the prices shown at purchase, plus applicable taxes. The Education plan is offered only to schools and education organizations, including K–12 schools, universities, and similar institutions. Companies and other commercial organizations subscribe to the Enterprise plan. Education is billed annually per seat, with a volume rate that applies to every seat at the matching seat count. Enterprise is billed monthly per seat at the list price shown on the site. Education organizations may also pay by purchase order or district P-Card; email support@nullgen.ai to arrange that. Some paid features may not be available in every browser or region at launch. Payment methods for website Family, Education, and Enterprise plans are collected and charged by Stripe, our payment processor, on Stripe’s hosted checkout and billing portal pages. We do not store full card numbers. By starting website checkout you also agree to Stripe’s terms for processing that payment. Family purchased through the App Store (Mac and iOS) is billed and renewed by Apple under Apple’s terms. Cancel or change that subscription in Apple’s subscription settings (or your App Store account), not the Stripe billing portal. We do not store full card numbers for those purchases. All paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and your payment method is charged at the start of each new cycle, unless you cancel before the billing date. You can cancel a website subscription at any time from the billing portal (when linked from the dashboard) or by emailing support@nullgen.ai. For Family purchased through the App Store (Mac and iOS), cancel or change the subscription in Apple’s subscription settings. When you cancel, your subscription — including access to the web dashboard and premium features — remains active until the end of the current billing cycle and then does not renew. Deleting your account is different from canceling a subscription. Website-billed plans are canceled when the owner deletes the account. App Store Family must still be canceled in Apple’s subscription settings; we do not cancel that Apple subscription for you. Except where the law requires otherwise (see “Consumers in the European Economic Area” below), payments are non-refundable: we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused seats, or periods in which you did not use the service. For organizational accounts billed per seat, administrators can adjust seat counts during a billing cycle. Added seats are charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the current cycle. Reduced seat counts take effect at the next renewal; removing seats mid-cycle does not generate a refund or credit for the current cycle. A seat is a managed user or an organization member, not a device. You may not add people beyond your purchased seat count. Each managed user may enroll up to six devices.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. When you purchase a paid plan on the website, you ask us to begin providing the service — including dashboard access and premium features — immediately, before the withdrawal period ends. If you exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of a website purchase, email support@nullgen.ai; we will refund what you paid, less a proportionate amount for the service already provided up to the moment you told us you were withdrawing. To the extent a purchase constitutes digital content rather than a service, you acknowledge that by consenting to immediate access you lose the right of withdrawal once access begins, as permitted by applicable law. App Store (Mac and iOS) purchases follow Apple’s refund and cancellation process; we do not take card payment for those purchases.

When a company, school, or school district deploys the extension across managed devices — including through mobile device management (MDM) tooling — the organization’s administrators hold ultimate authority over that deployment: the policies applied to fleet devices, the configuration data, and the records and metrics generated under the organization’s account. Nullgen acts on the organization’s instructions with respect to that data, as described in the Privacy Policy. The deploying organization is responsible for having the legal right to manage each device it enrolls and for making any disclosures to its users that applicable law requires. For educational deployments, the school or district is solely responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required under applicable law to monitor and block usage on student devices, and for meeting its own legal obligations. Nullgen relies on the deploying organization’s representation that it has that authority and any required consent.

The extension, the iOS app, and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that detection or destination blocking will be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. Nullgen AI Blocker is a preventive control, not a guarantee. The extension intercepts text input into fields it classifies as AI prompts, and the iOS app blocks known AI destinations, but no configuration of the product will catch every prompt field, destination, or disclosure of data. Disconnecting the VPN configuration in iOS Settings on an unsupervised iPhone is an operating-system limit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nullgen is not liable for proprietary information, trade secrets, personal information, or any other data that is disclosed or compromised despite the product being installed — including where a user bypasses or circumvents the blocker, where a browser, browser version, or site is incompatible or changes in a way that defeats detection, or where detection is incomplete or incorrect (a false negative or false positive). You remain responsible for your own data-handling policies and for supervising the use of AI tools in your household or organization. Destination blocking on mobile and desktop devices is limited to known AI destinations and is not guaranteed to block every AI website, app, or feature. In particular, AI features that share hosts with services the device needs for other purposes — including Gemini inside Google Search and the Google app, Copilot inside Microsoft Office, Bing, and Edge, Meta AI inside Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook, Grok inside the X app, GitHub Copilot inside GitHub, and Firefly inside Creative Cloud — are not blocked, and new or renamed destinations may not be blocked until we add them. We expand the list over time but make no commitment as to when a given destination will be added. Blocking such products entirely is a function of the operating system’s parental controls (such as Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link) or of enterprise device management, which you are responsible for configuring. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nullgen is not liable for any use of AI tools that the product does not block, including AI features reached inside those services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nullgen, Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or, if you are an organization, any claims brought by your end users or third parties arising out of your deployment and configuration of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nullgen, Inc. and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the extension, the iOS app, or website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the extension, the iOS app, or website will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim (which is zero for the free product). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including the statutory rights of consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. For material changes that affect paid plans, we will notify the designated administrator by email before the changes take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Nullgen, Inc. agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You and Nullgen, Inc. also waive any right to a trial by jury for disputes arising under these Terms. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this section does not deprive you of any mandatory protection under the law of your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings there where that law requires.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nullgen, Inc. regarding the service. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
